Kate was born and raised in the Newcastle and the Hunter region and brings local insight and deep familiarity with the courts across Newcastle, Hunter and the Central Coast and Sydney. 

Her career in law is enriched by her prior experience as a business owner, which fuels her commitment to delivering practical, results-oriented legal solutions. 

Kate has a keen interest in criminal and traffic law, appearing regularly in all NSW courts and engaging in strong advocacy on behalf of her clients. Kate has instructed in complex trials including serious sexual assault, armed robbery and attempted murder.

Kate also provides legal services in the area of employment law, offering strategic advice and practical guidance to both employers and employees on a wide range of workplace matters. Her expertise includes drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, and contractor agreements, as well as advising on employee rights, employer obligations, and compliance with workplace legislation. 

Kate also assists clients in navigating complex employment law disputes before the commission, such as unfair dismissal and general protections. Kate is committed to delivering clear, commercially focused advice and effective dispute resolution strategies tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and business needs.

Shane previously served in the military, where he developed the discipline, resilience, and leadership skills that continue to guide his professional approach today. His military background instilled a strong work ethic, an ability to perform under pressure, and a focus on teamwork—qualities that have been invaluable in helping grow the firm.
