Kate Brown. Principal Solicitor
Kate was born and raised in Newcastle and the Hunter region, bringing local insight and a deep familiarity with the courts across Newcastle, the Hunter, the Central Coast, and Sydney.
Kate has a keen interest in criminal and traffic law and appears regularly in all NSW courts, providing strong advocacy on behalf of her clients. She has instructed in complex trials involving serious sexual assault, armed robbery, and attempted murder.
In addition to her work in criminal law, Kate also advises on a broad range of employment law matters across Newcastle and Sydney, assisting both employers and employees with employment contracts, workplace policies, contractor agreements, employee rights, employer obligations, and compliance with workplace legislation.
In addition, Kate assists clients with complex civil disputes, delivering clear, commercially focused advice and effective dispute-resolution strategies tailored to their individual circumstances and business needs.

Shane previously served in the military, where he developed the discipline, resilience, and leadership skills that continue to guide his professional approach today. His military background instilled a strong work ethic, an ability to perform under pressure, and a focus on teamwork, qualities that have been invaluable in shaping the firm.
Sharon McBride. Administration & Support
Known for her exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and unwavering reliability, Sharon plays an integral role in keeping Precinct Legal running smoothly and efficiently.
With extensive experience in administrative support and operations, Sharon brings a calm, professional presence to the firm and helps clients feel supported and at ease during what can often be stressful times. Her responsibilities include coordinating communications, supporting the firm's day-to-day operations, and managing client meetings to ensure every interaction is handled with care and professionalism.
