NEWCASTLE AND SYDNEY LEADING AVO LAWYERS

AVO FIXED FEE GUIDE

If you are seeking extended advice only in order to evaluate your case and understand your rights, we can provide you with an in-depth case evaluation and advice session. If you choose to continue with our firm, the advice session cost is deducted from the overall cost estimates of your case, so you don't pay twice.

If you would like us to provide written advice in addition to the online session, we can draft this for you at an hourly rate of $300 plus GST.

For clients wishing to accept an order that has been made privately or by police, our Newcastle and Sydney AVO Lawyers will provide you with all the legal advice required to understand the order that has been made and represent you in court on one occasion to finalise the matter.

For clients who wish to accept some aspects of the order made but not others due to the risks they impose, such as where a person can live. Our Newcastle and Sydney AVO Lawyers will provide you with all the legal advice required to understand the order that has been made, engage in negotiations with the person or police officer who has taken out the order and represent you in court on up to two occasions to finalise the matter.

For clients who do not agree to any aspect of the order and wish to defend. Our lawyers will provide you with all the right advice, appear at all necessary court dates, and prepare for and represent you in a defended show cause hearing. This requires preparing court documents and evidence, and is conducted as a mini-trial in the local court, where parties are called to give evidence and be cross-examined.

For clients wishing to pursue an application against another party, our Expert Newcastle and Sydney AVO Lawyers can prepare an application and run the matter through the court process from start to finish. It is important to remember that the cost will vary depending on how the other party responds to the application being made. Our Newcastle and Sydney AVO Lawyers will provide you with all the legal advice required to prepare the paperwork and represent you in court on all required dates.
